Kurdish ministers who formed part of Turkey’s interim government gave a press conference a few hours after their resignation. According to them, they made that step since the country’s Justice and Development Party (AKP) was exacerbating the situation with the Kurds.

At the press-conference, Ministers Müslüm Doğan and Ali Haydar Konca, who are the members of Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP), slammed the policy of the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Kurdish and domestic policy issues, Evrensel reports. 

“It was exactly the AKP which started the war. Their mask has already been torn. We’re resigning and leaving the government, which is destroying the mosques and relics of Alevists, and which  legalizes the murder of children and feeds on war,” ex-Minister of European Union Affairs Ali Haydar Konca said.

Two Kurdish Ministers - Müslüm Doğan and Ali Haydar Konca  - were appointed Minister of Development and Minister of European Union Affairs and Chief Negotiator, respectively, to Turkey’s current interim government formed prior to the upcoming snap elections on November 1.
