The Prime Minister of Armenia, Hovik Abrahamyan, on Wednesday met in Beijing with Liu Liange, Vice Chairman and President of the Export-Import Bank of China (China Exim Bank).
Abrahamyan noted that Armenia underscores the Chinese companies’ engagement in economy. In his words, the opportunities for implementing several large-scale investment plans in Armenia were discussed in recent years with China.

Liu Liange, for his part, stressed that they are keen to deepen economic relations with Armenia, and expressed confidence that respective cooperation will further develop. He also highlighted the Iran-Armenia railway construction project, which, in his view, can have an important role in regional development.

At the ensuing talk, the interlocutors discussed some other matters of bilateral interest.

On the same day, the Abrahamyan-led Armenian delegation visited and toured the Summer Palace in Beijing, and which once served as a royal summer residence.
