YEREVAN. – Over the last month the Armenian Genocide museum in Yerevan was visited by more Turks, than during the entire existence of the museum, director Hayk Demoyan told reporters during “I Remember and Demand” expert forum.
Every day the museum is visited by people of Turkish descent, and the most impressing is their silence.
“In the past they were skeptical and doubtful, now they have a reason to ask questions,” Demoyan said.
The Armenian side wants to make Turkish society start thinking what is going on. Why many steps in terms of international recognition of the Armenian Genocide are made all over the world?
“We want 'whys' to serve an important goal, namely to change the approach of the Turks of the future generation. They have to understand that the world speaks one thing, and another thing is impelled within their borders,” Demoyan said.
