YEREVAN. – Armenia, unlike Azerbaijan, fulfills its commitments and wants to achieve peaceful resolution of the Karabakh conflict within the OSCE Minsk Group, not through the path chosen by Ilham Aliyev, Armenian Diaspora Minister said.

“We have to use all potential of our Diaspora organizations to insert pressure on Azerbaijani authorities, to interfere with Aliyev's actions,” Hranush Hakobyan said during “I Remember and Demand” forum on Friday.

When there is border tension, “we address our Diaspora structures”, the Minister said, adding that they are trying to involve the authorities of their countries by means of demonstrations and pressure.

Azerbaijan heats up tension on the border in an attempt to damage Armenia's tourism and economy, to scare residents of the border villages during harvest time.

“Aliyev is constantly seeking for the ways to hurt our country. We give an adequate response. The morale and capabilities of our army do not make think that it can surrender,” the Minister added,

On Thursday evening Azerbaijani armed forces opened an intensive fire in the direction of the border villages of Tavush region. Three civilians were killed and another four were wounded.
