The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Edward Nalbandian, on Friday attended Pope Francis’s address at the 70th Regular Session of the United Nations General Assembly, in New York City, USA.

On the same day at the UN Headquarters, Nalbandian participated in the official opening of the UN Summit to adopt the post-2015 development agenda.

In New York, the Armenian FM also met with Børge Brende, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Norway. 

The interlocutors discussed the avenues for the expansion of bilateral cooperation, and exchanged views on several regional and international matters.

At the request of the Norwegian FM, Edward Nalbandian spoke about the ongoing efforts by Armenia and the international community to achieve pacific settlement to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

Next, the Armenian FM held a talk with Daniel Mitov, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria.

The two FMs reflected on the steps to be taken to develop bilateral relations, and conferred on the Nagorno-Karabakh peace process.

In addition, Daniel Mitov invited Edward Nalbandian to an official visit to Bulgaria, to continue their discourse.
