YEREVAN. – Four of the military servicemen who on Friday were wounded in the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), and as a result of shelling by Azerbaijan, are in critical condition, and they are being treated in the intensive care unit.

Director of the Ministry of Defense Central Clinical Military Hospital in Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan,  Aram Asaturyan, told the aforesaid to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

He informed that soldiers Safar Safaryan, Arkadi Muradyan, Khachatur Papikyan, and Arman Stepanyan were transferred to their hospital from the NKR.

The Minister of Defense of Armenia, Seyran Ohanyan, just recently visited the military hospital.

Press service of the NKR Defense Army had reported that the Azerbaijani Armed Forces shelled one of the northeastern protection areas of the NKR Defense Army unit, on Friday at about 5:30pm. The fire was opened from Turkish-made reactive rocket propelled howitzers (TR-107).

Consequently, NKR Defense Army soldiers Norayr Khachatryan (born in 1995), Robert Mkrtchyan (born in 1995), Harut Hakobyan (born in 1997), and Karen Shahinyan (born in 1997) died from shrapnel wounds.

And there are sixteen wounded military servicemen.
