YEREVAN. – The European Union (EU) always stands ready to assist in improving the justice sector in Armenia and increasing public confidence toward it.

New Head of the EU Delegation to Armenia, Ambassador Piotr Świtalski, noted the above-said at Monday’s meeting with Arpine Hovhannisyan, the Minister of Justice of Armenia.

The minister highly praised the ongoing EU-funded programs in Armenia, and expressed readiness to continue and deepen cooperation, informed the press service of the Ministry of Justice.

Ambassador Świtalski, for his part, stressed that the ongoing reforms in Armenia’s judicial and legal system is an EU priority.

The interlocutors also reflected on the anticorruption strategy of Armenia, and discussed the avenues for the full implementation of E-government in the country.
