Cat Kunkush has crossed the entire Europe to find his family, which had removed from Iraq to Norway.
The white Turkish Van arrived in Greece with his family from Iraq’s Mosul, but got lost afterward. The owner tried to find her pet, but she was forced to move to another transit camp with her children and thus had to stop the search.
Several days later, the cat resurfaced in a fishing village. The animal, which was attacked by some local cats, was washed, fed and named Dias, NTV reports.
Following this, the refugee cat was handed to a foster family in Berlin. At that time volunteers launched an entire campaign in social networks to find the real owners of Dias Kunkush.
Consequently, the refugee family recognized their cat. Four months later the cat, which passed 4,000 km, eventually reunited with his family, ABC reports.
