Kyrgyzstan's Parliament Speaker Asilbek Jeenbekov left his post due to the nomination of his older brother Sooronbay Jeenbekov, Interfax reported.
The younger Jeenbekov mentioned that he has been elected twice as speaker of parliament and he thanked the parliament and the head of the state. He also added that due to the nomination of his elder brother to the prime minister's position on April 10 he voluntarily resigned from his post.
The Social Democrats Party which is headed by the president Almazbek Atambayev put forward the candidacy. It is expected that candidates will vote on Wednesday.
