Lebanese Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil received Armenian Ambassador Samvel Mkrtchyan Wednesday.

At the meeting, the Armenian Ambassador assured that he will do his best to develop the ties between the two countries. The sides highly appreciated the role of the Armenian community in the deepening of cooperation, Armenian MFA press-service reports.

Mkrtchyan briefed the Lebanese FM on the Azerbaijani aggression, as well as its political and military consequences. Importance was attached to the position of the international organizations on solving the conflict exclusively by peaceful means, as well as the condemnation of Azerbaijan’s military adventure.

FM Bassil assured that his country has always been attentive to the position of Armenia and supported the country, which will be done in this case as well.
