Kuwait has increased oil production to 2.9 million barrels in several days after the end of a strike of oil industry workers, Interfax reported.

It is noted that employees of the oil and petrochemical industry resumed negotiations with the authorities of the country on privileges in terms of reforming the ongoing payroll system.

Earlier it was reported that the labor union of oil industry workers declared the termination of a strike of workers of oil and gas facilities in Kuwait. The oil production was reduced by 60% because of protests in Kuwait.

Plans of the authorities for reduction of salaries and social package became the reason for discontent of oil industry workers. Several thousands of people have taken part in protests.
