The family of 12 -year-old African-American boy shot by the police will receive $ 6 million. The New York Times reports that the authorities of Cleveland will pay the amount.

Tamir Rice was shot on Nov. 22 of 2014, reminds Gazeta. The black boy was walking with a toy gun, that looked like a genuine one, as passers-by informed the police. The arrived police ordered him to raise his hands, but the child reached for his belt to pull out his gun and was killed by two shots.

The jury did not initiate a criminal case against the police officers , but the relatives put in a claim to get a compensation for moral damages.  The mother of the deceased Samaria Rice stated in the claim that the police did not provide the necessary assistance to her son, said RIA Novosti .
