A massive fire broke out in hotel and adjacent trade pavilions around Ataba of the capital of Egypt on Monday night, all the hotel guests were evacuated, injured 45 locals, spokesperson for the Ministry of Health, Khaled Megahed reported on On-TV, RIA Novosti reported.

Firefighters are still fighting the fire, 30 fire trucks are directed to the place of the fire.

At the same time, as reported by  Youm7 news portal,  24 people were hospitalized from the scene in the ambulance service to Cairo, with burns and carbon monoxide poisoning, another 19 victims assistance was provided at the site.

According to the Fire Department of the Egyptian capital, the ignition, most likely, broke out on the first floors of the six storey buildingdue to non-compliance with fire safety regulations. As the hotel did not have any means to fight the fire, the flames quickly spread also to the adjacent shopping pavilions.  The damage from the fire can exceed twenty million Egyptian pounds (more than 2.2 million dollars).
