The British Prime Minister David Cameron joked about the mic, after he had described Nigeria and Afghanistan as "fantastically corrupt" countries, reported Gazeta with a reference to The Telegraph.

After the prime minister had made his speech in the parliament, a Labour MP Mike Kane noted : " “Even fantastically corrupt Nigeria is asking Britain to clean up its act and provide registers of beneficial ownership for overseas territories.” He asked if the Prime Minister will achieve that goal at the anticorruption summit. "First I'd better check the microphone is on," joked David Cameron.

He noted that the government has sent an inquiry to the UK Overseas Territories on three issues :  exchange of information about taxes, common standards of reporting, and registry of beneficiaries, so that the UK law enforcement agents could learn about the owners of companies who had based there .
