YEREVAN. – A vehicle—with Lyova Martirosyan, 50, behind the steering wheel—crashed into a roadside metal barrier at an intersection, and then hit the wall of a nearby pharmacy and turned over, on Monday at around 6:30pm, in Alaverdi, Armenia.
As a result, passenger Seyran Pepanyan, 55, died on the spot, whereas the driver and the other passenger, Robert Tatoyan, 71, were taken to hospital, having sustained injuries, the Investigative Committee of Armenia informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.
A criminal case is opened into this incident.
Forensic medical examinations have been commissioned.
The investigation of the criminal case is in progress.
According to Shamshyan.com, the driver and his passengers are former police officers, and they were returning from the memorial ceremony for the dead son of their fellow policeman.
