YEREVAN. – Turkey denies the fact of Armenian Genocide to this day, said Hong Wan Suk, Head of the Korean Association of Slavic-Eurasian Studies (KASEUS).

He noted the above-said in his presentation during the Armenian-Korean international conference, entitled “New Opportunities for Cultural Cooperation and Mutual Understanding between Armenia and [South] Korea,” which is convened Monday in Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan.

In his words, Armenia and South Korea understand and sympathize with each other. As per the scholar, Azerbaijan’s provocations have become commonplace for Armenians.

Hong added that the security of the two countries is somewhat ensured by foreign forces; by Russia, in the case of Armenia, and by the US, when it comes to South Korea.

As per the KASEUS head, Armenia and South Korea are among the countries which others pull toward them; the US and China pull South Korea toward them, whereas the European Union and Russia try to do the same with Armenia.

Hong Wan Suk added that Armenia supports South Korea at the international level, and by all possible means.
