The Reporters Without Borders included into the updated list of the enemies of freedom of speech and the press 35 heads of states and organizations. The list includes two Russians - President Vladimir Putin and the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov. Among the CIS countries the list covers the names of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, and the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow.
The names of the Cuban leader Raul Castro, the leader of North Korea Kim Jong-un, the leader of People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping, the President of Venezuela Nicolas Maduro and his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and the King of Saudi Arabia Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud figure in the list as well.
Among the organizations the list includes the Islamic State (banned in Russia), Taliban (banned in Russia), the Houtis of Yemen, Al-Shabaab, and the Pakistan’s intelligence service ISI.
