YEREVAN. – Speaker Andrej Danko of the National Council (parliament) of Slovakia, who is paying an official visit to Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan, and members of the Danko-led delegation, on Thursday visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial.
On behalf of the Slovakian parliament, they laid a wreath at the monument, placed flowers at the Eternal Flame, and paid silent tribute to—and bowed before—the memory of the Holy Martyrs of this tragedy.
The guests also toured the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute, and Andrej Danko signed its honorary guestbook.
“Expressing sorrow and bowing with great respect before this monument, I never try to hide my tears,” wrote the speaker of the Slovakian parliament.
