YEREVAN. – The sources of Hraparak newspaper have informed that, after Sasna Tsrer armed group’s take over a police station in Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan in, the US Embassy in Yerevan had petitioned to the relevant Armenian authorities to give the names of this armed group’s relatives, so as not to grant them entry visas for the US.

“Regardless [of the fact] that Sasna Tsrer was a movement born of the people’s discontent and enjoyed empathy among the public, and the American authorities spoke very discreetly regarding them, US authorities associate armed rebels with terrorism,” wrote Hraparak. 
Sasna Tsrer had taken over a police patrol regiment building in Yerevan, taken hostages, but later surrendered, in July.
