Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Wednesday congratulated Donald Trump on his victory in the U.S. presidential elections. He assured that the U.S. doesn’t have a more reliable partner and ally than Israel.

For his part, Donald Trump thanked the Israeli Prime Minister for the congratulations and invited him to visit the U.S. “at the first possible opportunity”. The Prime Minster’s office described the conversation as “a warm and friendly talk between two leaders, who have known each other long ago,” Newsru-Israel reports.

On Wednesday evening Prime Minister Netanyahu published a video on Facebook, in which he congratulated Donald Trump. "President-elect Trump is a true friend of the State of Israel. We will work together to advance the security, stability and peace in our region. The strong connection between the United States and Israel is based on shared values, shared interests and a shared destiny. I'm certain that President-elect Trump and I will continue to strengthen the unique alliance between Israel and the United States, and bring it to new heights," he said.
