Afghanistan’s Ambassador to Tajikistan is among 120 people wounded in last night’s Taliban attack on German consulate in Afghanistan’s Mazar-i-Sharif, Sputnik reported.

On Thursday, regional police confirmed that there was a suicide bomb attack and a separate explosion inside the Mazar Hotel in the city of Mazar-i-Sharif that has been used as a consulate by German diplomats.

The Taliban movement said that the attack is a revenge for airstrike of the Americans in the northern Afghan province of Kunduz as a result of which more than 30 civilians, the majority of whom women and children, were killed an 19 more were wounded.  As a result of the terrorist attack at least four people were killed and about 120 were injured.
