Paris Court of Appeal has withdrawn arrests from accounts of three Russian state enterprises. The arrests on the accounts of Space Connection, Goszagransobstvennost, and RIA Novosti were imposed based on the claims of former shareholders of Yukos, reports Interfax.

On April 15 of 2016, France Court of First Instance ruled freezing of French assets by these Russian companies illegal, noting that the companies were not assets of the Russian Federation. The court of appeal upheld the verdict of the district Court. Frozen Russian assets in France are estimated at one billion euros.

Moscow commenting on the verdict made by the Appeal Court of France, expressed a hope, that it will become a precedent for other trials in France and Belgium, which refer to frozen Russian assets.
