YEREVAN. – Prime Minister of Armenia, Karen Karapetyan, received Chinese Ambassador Tian Erlong.

The PM underscored the continued expansion and intensification of Armenia’s relations with China, informed the Press Office of the Government of Armenia. He also noted that clear steps need to be taken to make use of the existing great potential for the further development of economic cooperation between the two countries.

In addition, Karapetyan stressed the opportunities for engaging Chinese businesses in several infrastructure projects in Armenia, and added that the government stands ready to discuss all proposals. In the Premier’s words, the country can become an important platform for Chinese businesses; and also in terms of access to third countries.

Ambassador Tian, for his part, stated that his mission is to contribute to the development of Armenian-Chinese relations, and added that he especially underscores the need to make economic collaboration grow deeper. The Chinese diplomat highlighted that he will convey the Armenian PM’s message to the government of his country.
