YEREVAN. - The free trade of arms is inappropriate for Armenia, even if concisely controlled.

Ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) MP Hovhannes Sahakyan, who is also the Chairman of the parliamentary Committee on State and Legal Affairs, stated the aforementioned in the parliament Tuesday, responding to MP Edmon Marukyan's initiative.

The latter noted that the trade of arms will sober up the heads of rich snots, who will know that not only they have weapons.

To this Sahakyan noted: “You seem to have watched many American films, where people enter a shop and buy a weapon for themselves. This can’t be so in our country: [Here] Children can quietly go to school, students—to university, and citizens—to public places.”
