YEREVAN. - In the framework of the EU for Regions program, the EU will allocate 6.3 mln euro grants for seven development programs in Armenian regions.

The winning programs were named at the discussion of the project in Yerevan on Tuesday.

The winners include Microsoft Innovation Center Armenia fund (IT courses for unemployed university graduates of the city of Gyumri and Shirak province, which have high poverty index), Municpality of the town of Kapan in southern Armenia (production of sidewalk slabs made from processed household plastic), ''Support for Noyemberyan'' NGO (manufacturing of food products in border villages and Tavush province towns), a well as organization of the scientific and educational services of the University of Florence (introduction of renewable energy and tourism development in Vayots Dzor province).
