Georgian citizens will be able to visit Europe without visas starting from late April.

European Parliament rapporteur on Georgia, Andrejs Mamikin, stated the aforementioned on Wednesday, Georgia Online reports.

In his words, the European Parliament will probably vote for the visa liberalization for Georgian citizens in January or February. It is also known that the information on visa liberalization with Georgia will be published in the EU printed issue on April 15.

The agreement on visa cancellation for Georgian citizens will take effect simultaneously with the mechanism on terminating the effect of the visa free regime with any EU partner states.

The European Parliament is expected to vote for this norm at the plenary session to be held Thursday.
