A plane Il-18 crashed near the settlement of Tiksi, Yakutia.

According to preliminary data the plane had 39 people onboard: 32 passengers and seven crew members, Sputnik reported.

As a result of the accident, all passengers and crew members are alive. Sixteen individuals sustained severe injuries.

It was reported that the plane broke into three, the crash was not followed by fire outbreak. A crew error as well as adverse weather conditions could have caused the crash.
