The vast majority of Americans (96%) have faith in the U.S. military and only 44% of the U.S. population trusts mass media, according to the latest Fox News Poll which was based on landline and cellphone interviews with 1,013 randomly chosen registered voters nationwide.

The military is followed by the Supreme Court(83%), the FBI(80%), and the IRS(55%). 

Narrow majorities have confidence in the presidency (53%) and Congress (53%).  Yet four times as many have a “great deal” of faith in the presidency (33%) as in Congress (8%).

Congress ranks just above major business organizations, which have the confidence of 51% of voters. 

Some 44% have faith in the media. Equal numbers of voters have no confidence at all in the media (36%) or the presidency (36%).  Both are record highs.
