Reporter of the German daily Die Welt (The World), Turkish and German citizen Deniz Yuücel detained in Turkey is accused of publication of a joke about a Kurd and a Laz, Alevinet reported.
According to prosecutors, the German journalist was trying to sow hatred and enmity, as well as to promote the Kurdish rebels with the help of this joke.
German Chancellor Angela Merkel and many representatives of German newspapers expressed concern about Deniz Yucel's detention.
