U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions denied allegations that he contacted Russian officials during Donald Trump’s Presidential campaign, BBC reported.

Eerlier Washington Post noted that Sessions was accused of speaking to Russian Ambassador to the United States Serge Kislyak twice in 2016. Democratic leader in the House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi called for Sessions’ resignation. According to her, he lied under oath in the congress, saying that did not communicate with Russian officials during the presidential campaign.

After that Sessions issued a statement in which he noted that he has never met representatives of the Russian authorities for discussion of elections. Jeff added that he could not absolutely understand the essence of those accusations.

Donald Trump was actively denying that his colleagues have any links with Moscow.
