South Korean government strongly condemned the launches of new missiles in North Korea, considering them as threat to peace and security in the region and violation of UN Security Council Resolutions explicitly prohibiting North Korea's launches using ballistic missile technology, Reuters reported.

Earlier it was reported that, North Korea fired four new ballistic missiles into the sea off Japan's northwest early on Monday,

According to South Korean military, the missiles flew on average 1,000 km and reached a height of 260 km.

The missiles were launched from the Tongchang-ri region near the reclusive North's border with China, South Korean military spokesman Roh Jae-cheon told a briefing.
