YEREVAN. – We perceived President Serzh Sargsyan’s statement regarding Nagorno-Karabakh as a serious warning about possible tension, Polish Ambassador to Armenia Jerzy Marek Nowakowski stated at a press conference on Monday, when asked to comment on the recent toughened rhetoric of Yerevan.

Nonetheless, as per the Polish diplomat, there is no need to rush into making comments regarding the Karabakh conflict, since any unnecessary word can help, but, also, harm.

“There is the OSCE Minsk Group, which tries to lead the conflict to a pacific settlement,” noted Ambassador Nowakowski. “There is such format, and there is no need to multiply the negotiators and the commentators regarding this complicated matter.”

On March 2, President Serzh Sargsyan stated that if Azerbaijan were to bring the situation to war, Armenia will make use of everything in its arsenal to ensure the safety of the people of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh).
