YEREVAN. – The Human Rights Defender (Ombudsman) of Armenia, Arman Tatoyan, is participating in the annual high-level meeting of the National Human Rights Institutions (NHRIs), and which is held in Geneva, Switzerland.

On the first day of this event, Tatoyan presented Armenia’s constitutional law regulations On the Human Rights Defender, and the new legal solutions that are designed to raise the level of institutional impact of the ombudsman of Armenia, the Office of the Human Rights Defender of Armenia informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The international colleagues, for their part, underscored these changes. 

Within the framework of this event, Arman Tatoyan is also expected to meet with several high-ranking UN officials as well as the ombudspersons and the heads of the NHRIs from other countries.
