China urged South Korea not to head down the wrong path and stop deployment of America's THAAD defence system, RIA Novosti reported quoting China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi.

According to him, at the moment relations between China and South Korea are complex and sensitive. He noted that the deployment of THAAD by the U.S. on South Korean territory is the biggest problem influencing the relations of Beijing and Seoul. He also added that the radius of action goes far beyond the Korean peninsula and undermines China's security interests.

The U.S. started the process of THAAD deployment anti-missile system in South Korea, Pacific Command of the U.S. Armed Forces reported earlier.
