Israel will reduce the funding to the United Nations (UN) by $2 million, Israeli Foreign Ministry Spokesman Emmanuel Nahshon stated.
According to the diplomat, the corresponding decision was made in response to a series of “anti-Israeli” votes at a meeting of the Human Rights Council (HRC) in the UN, Kommersant reported.
“Israel is cutting 2 million dollars from its U.N. dues, given the anti-Israel votes at UNHRC. The money will be used for development projects in countries,” Emmanuel Nahshon tweeted.
He said the cut is from annual payment of about $11 million
