The European Council has announced a draft of basic principles for negotiations with the UK over Brexit. The document will be sent to all 27 member states of the European Union, said the European Council President Donald Tusk, reports BBC.

The first stage envisaged by the document is to clarify all the privileges, which Britain enjoys as a member of the EU and its responsibilities, and to make Britain put them down.

The process will be under the supervision of the European Union, which will determine whether it is possible to proceed to the next stage of the negotiations, and more specifically, will determine the future of trade relations between the Great Britain and the Continental Europe.
