At least six people were killed and 15 others injured on Sunday, after an unidentified gunman opened fire on people at a food distribution center in central Somalia, reported, Xinhua News Agency, the official press agency of China.
An eyewitness said the gunman only targeted poor people who were taking Iftar (breakfast), a day after Muslims began observing the holy month of Ramadan.
Most of the dead were women.
The injured people are being treated at medical centers.
The shooter fled the scene after the attack.
No one has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.
