A bird flu (H5N1) case was registered in Samukh region of Azerbaijan.

Relevant information was received by State Veterinary Service, Azerbaijani Deputy Health Minister Elsever Agayev told the journalists.

The official noted that H5 virus of H5N1 is confirmed, at the moment laboratories are working to reveal N1.

Earlier, bird flu was found in Georgia and Turkey.
