YEREVAN. – Armenia’s shift to the parliamentary system will not lead to significant changes, first deputy chairman of Russian parliament's CIS Committee Konstantin Zatulin said during the Yerevan-Moscow space bridge.

According to him, the parliamentary majority, which now firmly belongs to the Republican Party of Armenia, will make the decisions and there will not be any significant changes from the presidential to the parliamentary system of the government.

“I think that we will see Serzh Sargsyan as Prime Minister of Armenia after the end of his presidency, "said Konstantin.

He noted that he could not say who would succeed Serzh Sargsyan as a president, but Armenian politicians are able to make decisions that will allow avoiding serious internal changes.

Russia was impressed with Armenian parliamentary elections, which, unlike many other previous cases, were not followed by public discontent and accusations, said Zatulin.
