YEREVAN. – Azerbaijan is attempting to smoothly distance the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict from the OSCE Minsk Group format.

Naira Zohrabyan, Chairperson of the Standing Committee on European Integration of the National Assembly of Armenia, on Wednesday said the abovementioned at the Seventeenth Meeting of the EU-Armenia Parliamentary Cooperation Committee.

“[But] through the efforts of Armenia and European organizations, such a thing will not happen,” she added.

In the Armenian MP’s words, it would be good if European partners pay attention also to the Azerbaijani Laundromat corruption scandal, and seriously treat the petrodollar scandals of Azerbaijan.

“In Strasbourg, I myself have heard twice how [Azerbaijan President Ilham] Aliyev stated that he doesn’t care about the international community, since he can buy that same international community at any time; this is cynicism,” noted Zohrabyan. “So, I urge my European colleagues not to permit Azerbaijan with a totalitarian constitution to state that the international community is in its pocket.”
