YEREVAN. – Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian, who is in Paris on a working visit, met with Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne, the Secretary of State and the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of France.

Lemoyne recalled his previous talk with Nalbandian within the framework of the Ministerial Conference of La Francophonie that was held in Paris on November 26, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia informed Armenian News-NEWS.am. The interlocutors discussed the preparations for the La Francophonie summit to be held in Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan, in 2018.

Also, they touched upon a wide range of matters that are on the agenda of Armenian-French privileged relations. FM Nalbandian and Minister of State Lemoyne conferred on interparliamentary contacts, decentralized cooperation, expansion of trade and economic ties, and strengthening of scientific and educational collaboration between Armenia and France.

In the context of the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement which Armenia signed recently with the European Union (EU), the sides touched upon Armenia-EU relations.

Also, the FM of Armenia briefed his interlocutor on the joint efforts of Armenia and the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair countries (Russia, US, and France) aimed at a peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

In addition, Edward Nalbandian and Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne exchanged views on several urgent regional and international matters.
