The Parliament of the Netherlands will discuss two motions on the Armenian Genocide on Thursday, Chairman of Armenian National Committee of the Netherlands Masis Abrahamyan told Armenpress.
The author of the motions is the representative of the coalition party Christian Union Joel Voordewind.
“Members of the Armenian community will also be present at the meeting tomorrow. We will hold a question-and-answer session with the Dutch Foreign Minister. There is no doubt that the motions will be approved, since there is a coalition in the parliament,” Masis Abrahamyan said.
Joel Voordewind introduced two motions over Armenian Genocide. One motion urges a state minister to attend the commemoration in Yerevan, the other asks the parliament to recognize the Armenian Genocide.
