The unprecedented increase of Azerbaijan’s military budget should give ground for concern. The purchased bullets and missiles will fire one day, Executive Director of the International Center for Human Development (ICHD) Tevan Poghosyan stated during the Yerevan-Moscow telebridge.

“The international community should give an adequate response instead of using obscure wordings, like “the sides should step up efforts to strengthen the ceasefire,” Poghosyan said.

“For some reason the world community in the person of EU High Representative for the South Caucasus Peter Semneby often forgets to point out the one to blame for  truce violations, speaking in platitudes.

“They should overtly and clearly address the one to blame for the ceasefire violation,” Tevanyan said.  He advised the world community to make assessments to its doings. On the one hand it makes statements on maintaining peace and stability in the region and sells weapon to Azerbaijan on the other,” he noted.
