Three people were killed in the anti-government protests in Egypt, including one police officer.
The demonstrators, called their rally “day of anger”, took the streets of Egyptian cities with the requirement to improve the economic situation in the country and to provide more political freedom, RIA Novosti reported.
The rally, which had been peaceful, took a more violent turn as protesters began to break down barriers and throw stones at the police on Tahrir Square in Egypt. One police officer was hit in the head by a stone and later died.
