Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg who is now worth $81.6 billion is the third in the updated Bloomberg Billionaires Index.

Zuckerberg has overtaken Warren Buffett as the world's third richest person. The leader is Amazon head Jeff Bezos with net worth reaching $142 billion. Microsoft founder Bill Gates is the second $94.2 billion.

As noted by Bloomberg, technology fortunes make up about a fifth of the more than $5 trillion in wealth tracked by the index, more than any other sector.
