Tens of thousands of people took to Milan's streets to protest on Saturday against racist policies promoted by the national government, DW reported.

Protesters believe that the government of the country sows fear and hatred.

In September a decree was adopted, according to which it has now become easier to deport migrants, as well as to deprive them of their citizenship amid serious crimes.

Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini said that the new government immigration policy would make Italy safer.
