There is no systemic approach to advocating a healthy lifestyle in Armenia. This is what Executive Director of the International Center for Human Development think tank, analyst Tevan Poghosyan said during a March 8 press conference.

According to him, it is necessary to not only present the issue, but also substantiate the decisions that are proposed.

“We saw government officials’ heated debates yesterday. It is clear that some ministers are trying to fight for improvement of the work in their respective fields. However, we need to understand that I few simply increase taxes, this will lead us to a point where people will start buying low-quality cigarettes and will become more ill,” he stated.
