In 2018, Armenia’s museums received 124,000 more visitors than in 2017. This is what Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said while presenting the report on the activities of the government in 2018, responding to Deputy of the Bright Armenia Party Anna Kostanyan’s question regarding the state of culture in Armenia.
Moreover, the Prime Minister stated that there are data on the number of books sold, but since there are no central statistics, the government is compelled to refer to the statistics presented by Armenia’s bookstores.
“We checked the data so that we could have a picture and have average statistical data,” Pashinyan said, adding that Bookinist bookstore sold 200,000 more books last year, and this number exceeds last year’s indicator by 31%.
