On 2 April, the administrative complex of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia hosted listeners of the National War College of the United States (school in the National Defense University) who are on a regional visit to Armenia, as reported the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The students’ visit is a scientific-practical visit, and the aim is to become familiar with the security issues in the South Caucasus within the scope of the theme-based Master’s research.

The security environment in the region, as well as the current threats and challenges from Armenia’s perspective were addressed during the lecture/discussion entitled “Defense Policy of the Republic of Armenia”. The main conceptual points in the defense policy presented in the program of the Government of the Republic of Armenia and in the visionary plan of the Defense Minister of the Republic of Armenia, the military reforms under implementation and the scopes of international cooperation were also presented.
