Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan urged the West not to interfere in the internal affairs of Turkey and not to try to manipulate the topic of the municipal elections on March 31, Anadolu reported.
The voter turnout has reached 83 percent, thus this is a lesson of democracy to the whole world, Erdogan told reporters.
According to the agency, the head of state recalled that the political bloc, opposing the supporters of the ruling Justice and Development Party in the March 31 elections, could not get 47 percent of the vote.
He noted that the final decision on the March 31 elections would be announced by the Turkish CEC.
